SMUKK.E
SMUKK.E, which means pretty in Danish, was chosen as the brand’s name due to Valecia’s love for all things pretty (and cute).
Mostly self-taught, Valecia’s passion for art and design was apparent since young. In 2017, SMUKK.E was born out of hobby at first whereby Valecia was selling brush-lettered watercolour cards. It then morphed into digital illustrations which she prints into cards/stickers as well.

In the second half of 2019, Valecia decided to pursue her artistic passions. She picked up modern calligraphy from Artsynibs and has been practicing since. She then flew to New York City to realise her artistic dreams. There, she attended FlowerSchool New York for 6 weeks and achieved a certificate in floral design. In the months that followed, Valecia attended some courses on fashion illustration at Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). With the love for watercolour painting in mind, for leisure, Valecia painted sceneries and portraits of both people and pets under the guidance of Kaaren Lewis, a graduate from Parsons School of Design.
